Kuru Tahere

Senior Painter

With 33 years of painting experience under his belt, Kuru Tahere is a family man, married with three kids and mokos. An old schoolmate of Bob's, Kuru's knack for tackling mammoth commercial projects and his masking wizardry reveal his love for making rundown places gleam like they're showing off at a makeover party.

What inspired you to become a painter, and how did you get started in the industry?

Painting has been my passion for over three decades! I like seeing the transformation of a run down house or building turn into a shiny finished product. I went to school with Bob, so it made working together easy!

How do you stay up to date with the latest painting techniques and trends?

What do you like to do for fun when you aren’t working?

Outside of work, my heart lies with my whanau - spending quality time with my family keeps me happy.

How are you different from other painters?

My extensive experience and dedication set me apart. With 33 years in painting, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every project. I'm a family-oriented individual, married with three kids and mokos, and I believe this perspective reflects in my work.

What are your favourite types of painting projects and why?

I have a soft spot for large commercial projects and my expertise shines when handling intricate masking techniques.
